Behind the Stitch: Creating the Perfect Kandersteg 2025 Necker

We recently had the pleasure of working with a Scout group preparing for their big adventure to the Kandersteg International Scout Centre in Switzerland. They came to us with a brilliant design featuring the Union Jack and Swiss flag, and a vision to make it really stand out.

Making It Pop with Colour

One of the biggest design challenges? Making sure the intricate details of the flags and lettering would be crystal clear on a dark navy background. That’s where our custom embroidery skills came in! We worked closely with the group to adjust thread colours — boosting the contrast to ensure the flags looked bold and the “KANDERSTEG 2025” text was clean and sharp.

Changing a few thread colours might sound simple, but it made all the difference. The red and white edging ties in perfectly with the flags, while the bespoke stitching gives the necker a polished, premium finish.
